At the forefront of Scandinavian jazz for more than a decade, Norwegian pianist Tord Gustavsen creates music that is moody and reflective, evoking peacefulness and foreboding in equal measure. Tord is a pianist of poetic cast, an exceptionally lucid player with a sure sense of melodic structure and an often astonishing lyrical imagination.It is his music that sings, at once gentle and robust.
